Home of the San Diego Padre’s PETCO Park, downtown San Diego’s East Village is a lively district comprised of parks, schools, commercial buildings, police station and varied condominium projects. Many historic buildings have been converted into a variety of residential options in this district, set to expand exponentially in the coming years. Retail space and plenty of parking is already present in this area, and is set to expand as well. The New School of Architecture, San Diego City College, numerous art galleries and lofts transform this area, once occupied by warehouses, into a cultural and artistic center all its own. As the largest district downtown, East Village is a model for urban development, convenience and culture.
